Built on 17 years of experience, the company has grown from a specialist thermography provider into a broader diagnostic and condition-monitoring business serving commercial, industrial, hospitality, property and energy clients across South Africa.
From Services to Solutions
Cape Infrared Services was founded in 2015 by Ivan Fiford, an SRII-certified Level II Thermographer and qualified electrician, with a simple objective: provide accurate insight before problems become expensive failures.
Over the years, the business developed a strong reputation for practical, independent thermographic inspection and reporting, building long-standing relationships with clients across a range of industries.
In 2025, Cape Infrared Services evolved into Cape Infrared Solutions, expanding beyond infrared thermography to include a broader range of electrical diagnostics, acoustic inspection and condition-monitoring services.

HOW WE WORK
Inspect. Identify. Report. Monitor.
We inspect equipment under normal operating conditions wherever possible, identify abnormal conditions and developing faults, and provide clear reports with recommended corrective actions that support good preventative maintenance decisions.
Where required, we return at no additional charge (within 50km radius of CPT) to rescan completed repairs, allowing the condition of the asset to be verified and documented.
