Independent expertise. Practical answers.
Thermal imaging is only as valuable as the expertise behind its interpretation.
Cape Infrared Solutions (CIS) provides independent inspection and diagnostic services to help organisations identify developing faults, assess risk and make informed maintenance decisions.
With more than 17 years of experience in thermography and electrical systems, our team works across commercial, industrial, hospitality and energy environments. Our experience includes pan-African safety inspection programmes, as well as protecting local corporate assets and critical infrastructure.
Led by a Snell Certified Level 2 Thermographer, our approach combines technical expertise with professional, calibrated diagnostic equipment to deliver accurate inspections, clear reporting and practical recommendations — supporting safety, compliance and operational continuity with minimal disruption.
Today, our capabilities extend beyond thermography to include acoustic, electrical and condition-monitoring services, providing clients with a more comprehensive understanding of asset condition and risk.
See More. Know More. Prevent More.
WHAT WE DO
Thermal imaging. Electrical diagnostics. Condition monitoring. Asset protection.
Our diagnostic services span thermal, acoustic and electrical technologies, allowing us to investigate a wide range of electrical, mechanical, building and infrastructure conditions.

Risk, Insurance & Condition Assessment
Independent Inspection & Reporting
Insurance Inspections • Electrical Risk Identification • Condition Assessments • Technical Reporting
Find the problem BEFORE it becomes a failure.
Equipment rarely announces the moment it begins to deteriorate.
A loose electrical connection. An overloaded circuit. A failing bearing. A developing mechanical fault. Moisture behind a surface. A thermal imbalance in a solar installation. These conditions can develop long before a visible failure occurs. Thermal, acoustic and electrical diagnostics give you another way to see what is happening — while equipment is operating and without unnecessary disruption.
Prevent Unplanned Downtime
Identify developing problems before they become failures, breakdowns and costly interruptions.
Reduce Risk
Find abnormal conditions that could contribute to equipment damage, fire or operational failure.
Plan Maintenance
Address developing problems during planned maintenance rather than reacting to breakdowns.
Protect your assets
Monitor condition over time and make better-informed maintenance and replacement decisions.
HOW WE WORK
The CIS Inspection Process
Every inspection follows a structured process designed to turn diagnostic findings into informed action. From identifying anomalies and assessing risk to verifying corrective work and tracking asset condition over time, CIS provides the insight you need to make confident maintenance decisions and manage risk proactively.
1.
INSPECT
We conduct non-intrusive thermal, acoustic or electrical assessments under normal operating conditions, where possible.
2.
ANALYSE
We assess the findings, identify anomalies and determine their significance.
3.
REPORT
You receive clear technical reporting supported by imagery, findings, classifications and recommendations.
4.
CORRECT
Your maintenance team addresses the identified issue.
5.
VERIFY
We rescan identified exceptions within 30 days at no additional cost, subject to applicable terms.
6.
CERTIFY
Where corrective actions are satisfactorily completed, we issue an Electrical Infrared Clearance Certificate.
Our inspections are non-contact, non-intrusive, conducted under full operating load, and require zero downtime.
Closing the Risk Loop
We don’t just identify electrical risks. We help you close them.
Identifying an anomaly is only the first step. Once corrective work has been completed,
CIS can return within 30 days to rescan identified exceptions at no additional cost.*
This post-repair verification confirms whether the reported issues have been addressed.
Where all corrective actions have been satisfactorily completed, CIS can issue an Electrical Infrared Clearance Certificate for your records and insurance purposes.
One inspection. A follow-up verification. Greater peace of mind.
*The complimentary rescan is subject to the applicable inspection scope and site location.
Supports: Insurance Requirements • Asset Longevity • Operational Reliability
THINK BIGGER. SAVE MORE.
DONT JUST INSPECT – MONITOR.
A single inspection tells you what is happening today.
A structured inspection programme tells you what is changing.
CIS helps you establish a baseline, identify developing anomalies, verify corrective work and build a condition history through recurring inspections.
Baseline Inspections — Establish the condition of an installation or asset.
Annual Inspection Programmes — Track changes and identify developing issues early.
Follow-Up Rescans — Verify that identified anomalies have been satisfactorily addressed.
Condition History — Build a record of findings to support preventative maintenance and asset management.
